Hala Kerbage

Hala is a psychiatrist at Hotel-Dieu de France Hospital and lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, Saint Joseph University. Her main areas of research revolve around social and legal aspects of psychiatry. She joined the Legal Agenda as a General Assembly member in October 2014 and coordinated the LA initiative to amend the Lebanese mental health draft law. She is currently leading an LA study exploring the attitudes and perceptions of Lebanese psychiatrists, judges, and mental health service users toward mental health legislation and patients’ rights. She has written many articles for the LA, mainly on mental health of refugees and migrant domestic workers.
